My title -
I want my life to be a continual process, a journey that leads my heart to transformation: a transformation that reveals God's heart - the heart of Christ who walked the earth and now waits for me in heaven. It seems that, at least for the last several years, God's transforming work in me has to do with love. His love for me and my love for others. His love for me is radical, passionate…irrational. Because of this, my love for others can be irrational. I hope to flesh this out in the posts ahead.
The description under the title is a quote by Nancy Heche. Recently God used her book, The Truth Comes Out to point out, with laser sharpness, the transforming work He has been and is continuing to do in my heart.
Thanks for coming along on this journey with me. I look forward to your comments as we travel.
Until next time,
Jen

Hi You !! I tried to start a blog one time, too, but got too scared when it was actually time to do it! You go girl! ;)
I'm adding you to the blogs I read.
Feel better! :)
Thanks, Tiff! I hope somewhere along the way you will try again...you have so much good stuff to share! Until then, I hope you'll comment here often.
Love you, Friend!
This morning at church the minister asked three probing questions, one of which led us to examine how our worlds and the people within them (whatever, whoever, or wherever they may be) might be viewed through God's eyes; and, if we viewed them from this perspective, how might that affect our current responses.
I've thought about this issue before, about how God sees us with irrational love and how, when just for a moment, I glimpse people through this lens, I am overwhelmed with love and understanding. I still see all of their sharp edges, but now with a little more grace, because I also see the brokeness and pain behind the surface facade.
The key is in allowing that glimpse to actually change my behavior, and on a long-term basis. I think that requires dependence, since I know that I can only extend grace on my own strength for a very limited amount of time! :)
Would you please write my blog, Amy? :)Just kidding...
Thanks for your comment, it was beautiful and so true. Loving others the way we are loved by God is impossible apart from Him.
Love you...and miss you.
